Getting prepared for your big day can lead to so many question!

We have outlined some FAQ's below to help smooth the hair booking process at least. If you can't find an answer to your question, please just send us an email.

What can I expect when booking with Chatél Noire?

​

Chatél Noire want to provide the best services to all of our clients. All bridal bookings will be invited to a telephone consultation to speak with Charnell, so that she can understand your needs clearly and provide a clear and itemised quote specific for your big day.

 

Do I need a hair trial?

​

Hair trials are not mandatory, however, there are many benefits of having one.

  • You get to meet Charnell face to face and build a more personal rapport

  • If you are unsure of what style to go for, you will gain clarity of what you want when you leave the trial.

  • You can also try out hair accessories that you want and see what your desired style will look like with your veil on.

 

Can you travel to me on the trial day?

All hair trials are held at a location in Romford, Essex which is provided to the bride when the deposit has been paid.

 

How long does a trial take?

A trial can take anywhere between 2 - 4 hours. Trials are charged on an hourly basis depending on how many styles you would like to achieve.

 

Can I bring my friends and family to my trial ?

 

As there is not a huge space to work in, we are only able to accommodate the bride herself on the trial date. Anyone else who attends will not be able to sit and wait on the premises. Photos and videos will be shared so that the bride will be able to share these images with anyone she would like.

 

Do you wash, blow-dry and straighten my hair on the trial day?

To ensure we have a productive and efficient trial, each bride is expected to come with clean, dry and pre-stretched  hair ( blow-dried/straightened if required).

 

How far in advance of my wedding should I book my date?

​

We would recommend anywhere from 6 months to a year in advance to avoid disappointment with dates.

 

Do you hold dates?

​

Unfortunately we do not hold dates in the diary provisionally as we do get very busy. The best way to secure your date is by putting down a holding deposit.

 

Do I need to give you details of the vendors I am working with?

​

We would be grateful if you could share details of the following vendors as we often work closely together on the day of the wedding:

  • The planner/coordinator

  • The MUA

  • The Photographer/Videographer.

 

Can you help me put on my wedding dress?

​

We are able to suggest ways of fastenings the dress, however no one from the Chatel Noire team is able to do up/touch the bride's dress.

 

Do you charge for travel?

​

Yes, travel is charged. This is explained further in the service terms and conditions.

 

Who pays for accommodation for Chatel Noire?

​

If travel time exceeds 1.5 hours on the day and an early start is required, the bride will be notified of this, and be asked to book hotel accommodation on behalf of the hairstylist. Accommodation should be in the same hotel as the bride for ease.

 

How much is a destination wedding?

​

Where can I purchase hair extensions?

​

All brides working with Chatel Noire can purchase hair extensions from our online store.

 

How  Long will my hair take on the wedding day?

​

This will be discussed with each bride specifically. Typically we ask for 2 hours to complete your hair on the day if you have had a trial.

3 hours if you have not had a trial.

Do you offer any discounts?

We do offer packages and discounts on hair extensions for brides. When booking 5 or more bridesmaids we reduce the price also.

Does Chatél Noire provide head pieces?

​

At the moment we do not carry head pieces.

 

Does Chatél Noire provide touch up services?

​

Yes we do. We will need to charge accordingly for time that we will be required to stay on site.

 

Does Chatél Noire work with a team?

​

We have a select few stylists that we work with on the day and they will need to be charged for accordingly.
